North Duri Cogeneration Project

Indonesia

The 300 MW North Duri Cogeneration project was developed to provide electrical power, as well as steam, to support PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia’s large Duri Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project located on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The project utilized an indigenous natural gas reserve and reduced the use of oil in the oilfield operations, freeing up more oil for export and the generation of hard currency earnings for the country of Indonesia. Mr. Megginson was Cogeneration Manager for Amoseas Indonesia during the development, construction and initial operations of this project.
